Rockford University senior linebacker Michael Krieter (Rockford, Ill.) has been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Special Teams Player of the Week for his efforts on the field last Saturday. This is the first NACC weekly award of his career, and he becomes the fifth different RU football player to earn a weekly award from the NACC this season.

Junior linebacker Michael Watson (Schaumburg, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending November 1, 2015. Watson led the Rockford defense on Saturday as the Regents held the Eagles to just 246 yards and 1 pass completion. The junior recorded a career-high 17 tackles, which was just two shy of the single game school record. He now currently ranks second in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference with 73 total tackles.

Sophomore midfielder Giovana Ortega (Rockford, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending October 25, 2015. Ortega was instrumental in leading the Regents to a perfect 2-0 record this past week. She opened with a hat-trick scoring 3 goals and adding 2 assists in the Regents 9-0 win over Mount Mary. Ortega then capped off her week with a goal in Rockford's 2-1 road win against Alverno.

Sophomore midfielder Erik Manriquez (Rockford, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending October 18, 2015. Manriquez led the Rockford University men's soccer team to its first Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference win since the 2009 season. He was involved in both of Rockford's goals in the Regents 2-0 win over Concordia University Chicago on Saturday, scoring the first and assisting on the second.

Junior John Finley (Rockford, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending October 11, 2015. Finley was the top performer for the Regents on Friday at the Benedictine University Eagle Invite. He placed 50th out of 118 runners in the men's 8k race with a time of 29:07.4. It was his best effort of the season as he eclipsed his previous fastest time in the 8k by over two minutes.

Junior goalkeeper Gris Mendoza (Rockford, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending October 4, 2015. Mendoza was outstanding in goal in Rockford's two matches last week. The junior faced 30 shots over the weekend making 27 saves while allowing just three goals in 180 minutes of action.

Junior Taylor Rossi (Ingleside, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending September 27, 2015.

Freshman Christian Devant (Winnebago, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending September 20, 2015. Devant has had an impressive three weeks to begin his collegiate career including a pair of fourth place finishes. He has been the top finisher for Rockford in each of its three meets so far this season. Last weekend Devant placed fourth in the Beloit Olde English Classic as he crossed the finish line in 28:49.0.

The Rockford University Vocal Collective is a select, mixed choral ensemble of 15 singers that performs a wide variety of choral literature, from Renaissance polyphony to jazz and popular music.

A Rock Solid Regent is a student that truly exemplifies what it means to be Rock Solid. Rock Solid Regents are recognized for a variety of reasons, including for academic achievements, extracurricular involvement and campus leadership.

Several students were inducted into Psi Chi, the international honor society in psychology, during the 2015 Honors Day Ceremony at Rockford University on May 6. The annual Honors Day ceremony is a way for the university to recognize the extraordinary academic and co-curricular activities of students and faculty.

Several student athletes were inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, the national college athlete honor society during the annual Honors Day ceremony at Rockford University. Honors Day is a way for the university to recognize the extraordinary academic and co-curricular activities of students and faculty.

The Phi Beta Kappa Chapter at Rockford University (Eta of Illinois) was established in 1953, during the tenure of President Mary Ashby Cheek. Each year since that time, the chapter inducts a select few of its graduating seniors into the Society. These students have excelled academically in their chosen major and in a broad course of study emphasizing the liberal arts.

The recipient of the Community-Based Learning Student Award recognizes a student whose work goes well beyond the course requirements for CBL credit, has been a profound leader in arranging work for their peers, and whose work has made an obvious difference in the Rockford community. Overall, this student's effort embodies the community-based involvement inherent in the mission of the University.

The Multicultural Club Award is presented to the participating students who most effectively promote intercultural awareness and understanding. Students who are part of the Multicultural Club plan and promote cultural awareness events both on and off campus to Rockford University members and the surrounding community.

Presented to a graduating senior, the Good Citizenship Award recognizes outstanding evidence of selflessness, which has affected either the on-campus or off-campus community.

The Lincoln Academy of Illinois "recognizes outstanding contributions made by living Illinois citizens toward the social, cultural, and technological progress of mankind and thereby to encourage greater dedication to such progress by all citizens of Illinois", in the form of a Lincoln Laureate Award. This award is given to college seniors who demonstrate excellence in curricular and extracurricular activities.

Established in 1991, The Shirl Shanhouse Morris Prize in Sociology is funded by Mrs. Morris' husband, Raymond F. Morris, and her children, to honor the 1941 Rockford College alumna. The prize is awarded to an outstanding student majoring in sociology.

Established through the Rockford University chapter of Phi Beta Kappa and administered by the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois. It provides funds, from an endowment directed to the University, to a deserving student who exemplifies the ideals of Rockford University.
