The Global Leader Award was granted during the annual Honors Day Ceremony at Rockford University. The ceremony is a way for the university to recognize the extraordinary academic and co-curricular activities of students and faculty.

The recipient of the Community-Based Learning Student Award recognizes a student whose work goes well beyond the course requirements for CBL credit, has been a profound leader in arranging work for their peers, and whose work has made an obvious difference in the Rockford community. Overall, this student's effort embodies the community-based involvement inherent in the mission of the University.

Presented to a graduating senior, the Good Citizenship Award recognizes outstanding evidence of selflessness, which has affected either the on-campus or off-campus community.

The Lincoln Academy of Illinois "recognizes outstanding contributions made by living Illinois citizens toward the social, cultural, and technological progress of mankind and thereby to encourage greater dedication to such progress by all citizens of Illinois", in the form of a Lincoln Laureate Award. This award is given to college seniors who demonstrate excellence in curricular and extracurricular activities.

Established through the Rockford University chapter of Phi Beta Kappa and administered by the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois. It provides funds, from an endowment directed to the University, to a deserving student who exemplifies the ideals of Rockford University.

Established in 2004 by Helena Milman, class of 1997. Selected by the chairman of the Department of Political Science, in consultation with the History and Philosophy Department chairs, the award goes to a student who has completed both junior and senior years at Rockford University and who has demonstrated extraordinary interest in the theory and the practice of politics.

Marion Carlson Seedoff, Class of 1962, and many of her family members graduated from Rockford College. Marion taught in the Rockford Public Schools for more than 10 years. The Marion Carlson Seedoff Memorial Award, given to an outstanding junior or senior in elementary education, is granted to encourage a student with an interest in the primary grades to enter the teaching field.

Named for Professor Emerita Dorothy Delman, renowned professor of sociology and 1942 graduate of Rockford College, who passed away in 2007. The prize is based on the outstanding academic performance of any full- or part-time student who has completed 30 hours in the study of anthropology and sociology.

Established in 1991, The Shirl Shanhouse Morris Prize in Sociology is funded by Mrs. Morris' husband, Raymond F. Morris, and her children, to honor the 1941 Rockford College alumna. The prize is awarded to an outstanding student majoring in sociology.

The Harriet Rheingold Outstanding Psychology or Human Development Major Award is designed to recognize a commitment to learning and excellence. Awarded to a student that has demonstrated extraordinary intellectual curiosity and determination.

Granted to a junior student majoring in science or mathematics who has achieved excellence in course work, research and citizenship.

This award is given to a student based on excellent academic achievement who has completed at least 30 credit hours in mathematics.

Given annually to the undergraduate student deemed by the Department of Mathematics to show the greatest promise of success in careers in mathematics or closely related subjects.

Granted to the student that achieved the highest average in the calculus sequence during the academic year.

Granted in honor of Professor Emeritus, Dr. Fred Hadley.

This award was established in recognition of C. Robert and Elizabeth Hutchcrofts inspiration as teachers and their belief in the importance of reading.

The award is granted for an outstanding performance by an undergraduate chemistry or biochemistry major. The award is provided by the National Information Center for Polymer Education.

Awarded to a student demonstrating great achievement and promise through the first-year chemistry sequence. The recipient receives a special Freshman Award edition of the CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics.

The Francis V. Ellis Award recognizes a student for exceptional achievement in the study of Greek or Latin.

Established by Stephen Ellis in memory of Sally Lo Ware, Professor of French at Rockford College, from 1960-1990. The awards are presented to students who excel in Modern Language study.
