Senior guard Mallorie Getzelman (Byron, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending January 29, 2017.

Senior forward Zach Wallace (Rockford, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending January 22, 2017. Wallace tallied his second straight 30-point, 20-rebound game on Tuesday in Rockford's road win over Concordia Chicago. He scored 31 points, grabbed 20 rebounds and blocked 4 shots in the victory. On Saturday he then recorded his 11th double-double of the season with 19 points, 11 rebounds, 5 blocks and 2 assists.

Senior forward Zach Wallace (Rockford, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending January 15, 2017. Wallace capped off another incredible week with his first career 30-point, 20-rebound game.

Sophomore forward Tony Diemer (Rockford, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending January 1, 2017. Diemer scored a team-high 26 points on 10-for-20 shooting in Rockford's game last Saturday at Lakeland University. He also added 7 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal.

Rockford University sophomore forward Tony Diemer (Rockford, Ill.) has been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for his outstanding performance on the court this past week. Diemer is only the second RU men's basketball player to receive a weekly award from the conference this season, and this is the first NACC weekly award of his collegiate career.

Junior guard Casey Pettit (Rockford, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending December 25, 2016. Pettit scored a team-high 14 points in Rockford's 57-55 come-from-behind victory over Dominican last Monday. The junior connected on 3-of-6 shots from the field and went a perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line including draining the game-winning free throws with 0.2 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. Pettit also dished out 5 assists, grabbed 2 rebounds and had 1 steal.

Rockford University senior forward Zach Wallace (Rockford, Ill.) has been named NACC Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for his efforts on the court last week. Wallace becomes only the second Regent this year to be recognized by the conference with a weekly award and the first basketball player. This is also the second time in his career he has received a weekly award from the conference with the other coming back in the 2014-15 season.

Getzelman recorded her fourth 20-point performance in five games this season on Saturday at Wisconsin Lutheran with 20 points and 3 rebounds. Through three weeks she is still currently the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference's leading scorer averaging 24.8 points per game. This past week she averaged 18.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 1.0 assist.

Sophomore offensive lineman Brandon Bothem (Roscoe, Ill.) and sophomore defensive lineman Jared Johnson (Miami, Fla.) were both named NACC Honorable Mention to round out the Regents' selections.

Sophomore running back Chance Manning (Durand, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending November 13, 2016. Last Saturday Manning became the first Regent since 2004 to eclipse 1,000 yards rushing in a single season. He carried the 22 times for 152 yards to average an impressive 6.9 yards per carry. He also found the end zone twice including a 50-yard touchdown run.

Rockford University sophomore defensive back Lamear Downes (Detroit, Mich.) has been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week for his stellar performance on the field this past Saturday. He becomes the first Regent to earn a weekly award from the NACC this season.

Junior wide receiver Mar Sean Vercher (Chicago, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending November 6, 2016. Vercher had a monster day for the Regents on Saturday. He broke the RU school receptions record with 13 catches for a career-high 193 yards. He also found the end zone twice with touchdown receptions of 6 and 9 yards. Vercher now has 8 touchdown receptions this season, which is just one shy of tying the single-season school record.

The Rockford University men's soccer team continued its upward trajectory this year as the Regents had their best season since 2001 and their best ever in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference. In addition, the conference announced on Wednesday morning that Rockford University freshman midfielder Jose Magallanes (Crest Hill, Ill.) was voted to the NACC All-Freshman Team.

Sophomore Joe Werkheiser (Lena, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending October 30, 2016. Werkheiser had the best performance of any Regent this past Saturday at the NACC Cross Country Championships. He completed the 8k race in 30:20.80 to finish in 35th place. Werkheiser's effort helped lead the Regents to an eighth place team finish.

Junior midfielder Jonathan Hernandez (Chicago, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending October 23, 2016. Hernandez was instrumental in Rockford's 5-1 win over Maranatha on Senior Day. He scored the first goal of the match to give the Regents a 1-0 lead entering halftime. Hernandez then scored what turned out to be the game-winning goal less than four minutes into the second half to help propel his team to victory.

Senior setter Taylor Rossi (Ingleside, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending October 16, 2016. Rossi had an excellent all around week for the Regents.

Sophomore Christian Devant (Winnebago, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending October 9, 2016. Devant had the highest finish for any Regent runner this past Friday at the Eagle Invitational. He placed 33rd out of 177 total participants with a season-best time of 27:50.3. He also had the 7th fastest time amongst all NACC runners and helped lead the Regents to a 13th place finish.

A Rock Solid Regent is a student that truly exemplifies what it means to be Rock Solid. Rock Solid Regents are recognized for a variety of reasons, including for academic achievements, extracurricular involvement and campus leadership. Students are nominated by faculty and staff members that recognize that these students' contributions to Rockford University go above and beyond expectations.
