Junior defensive lineman Jared Johnson (Miami, Fla.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending October 15, 2017. Johnson was an integral part to the Regents' victory and defensive success this past Saturday. He finished the game with 7 tackles, two sacks and an interception. Both of his sacks came on third down, effectively ending a pair of Cougar drives. He then capped off his day with an interception in the red zone on what turned out to be CUC's final offensive play of the game.

Freshman midfielder Carlos Galvan (Rockford, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending October 8, 2017. Galvan scored his first two collegiate goals in Rockford's 3-2 win over Moody Bible Institute on Saturday. He tied the match in the 59th minute off a free kick from 20 yards out and then headed in the game-winning goal in the 81st minute.

The Regents received their first weekly award of the year late Monday night when freshman Alexis Guteirrez (Amboy, Ill.) was named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Special Teams Student-Athlete of the Week. Guteirrez becomes the first Regent to earn NACC Special Teams Student-Athlete of the Week honors since the 2015 season.

Sophomore defensive back Dylan Peterson (Reynolds, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending October 1, 2017. Dylan Peterson was a key part of a Rockford defense that forced four turnovers and kept a high-powered Benedictine offense in check on Saturday. Peterson was all over the field making multiple big plays in the game and ending three Eagle drives. He intercepted his first career pass, made a key tackle in the backfield on a fourth and one at the RU 20-yard line and recovered a fumble in the end zone late in the game to end another scoring threat. Peterson also recorded 9 tackles including 6 solo tackles and 1 tackle for loss.

Junior goalie Anthony Beck (Fishers, Ind.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending September 24, 2017. Beck was instrumental in the Regents 1-0 NACC victory over Wisconsin Lutheran this past Saturday. The junior saved all three of the Warriors' shots on goal to record his first shutout of the season and lead Rockford to its first win over WLC since the formation of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference in 2006. For the week, Beck made 8 saves and finished with a 1.33 goals against average.

Junior forward Brandon Oeltjenbruns (Arvada, Colo.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending September 17, 2017. Oeltjenbruns played a pivotal role in the Regents 2-1 victory over Beloit this past week as he scored what turned out to be the game-winning goal in the 54th minute of the match. The win was the Regents' first of the year and the first against Beloit in over a decade.

Junior midfielder Lexie Collins (Earlville Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending September 10, 2017. Collins led the RU women's soccer team to a pair of wins last week and was the Regents' top female runner on the cross country team at the Spartan Classic. She opened with a hat-trick on Wednesday including scoring the game-winning goal in Rockford's 8-0 victory over Eureka College. On Friday, Collins set a personal best by nearly two minutes in the 6k as she crossed the finish line in 27:00.2 to place 67th out of 117 runners. She then concluded her week by playing in all 180 minutes of Rockford's two soccer matches on Saturday and Sunday. Collins was heavily involved in the Regents' 2-1 victory on Sunday, assisting on the first goal and then scoring the game-winning goal midway through the second half.

Junior Christian Devant (Winnebago, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending September 3, 2017. Devant got his season off to a great start this past Friday at the Beloit Opener. The junior led all Regents with his fifth place finish and set a new personal best in the 6k, crossing the finish line in 21:25.0.

The postseason awards continue to roll in for senior shortstop Cole Logemann (Lena, Ill.) as early this morning he was named Third Team All-Midwest Region by D3baseball.com.

Sophomore Joe Werkheiser (Lena, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending May 14, 2017. Werkheiser continued his excellent season on Friday at the North Central College Dr. Keeler Invitational. The sophomore finished tenth in strong field of 33 runners in the 400 meter race as he crossed the finish line in 51.10 seconds. Werkheiser was less than a 0.5 second off his personal best time in the event, which he set earlier this season.

Senior infielder Cole Logemann (Lena, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending May 7, 2017.

Freshman Kayla Barthels (Fort Worth, Texas) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending April 30, 2017. Barthels set a pair of personal bests over the weekend at the Beloit Relays and came within 0.02 meters of tying the school record in the triple jump. She took fifth place in the long jump with a personal best leap of 4.92 meters and sixth in the triple jump with a personal best distance of 9.97 meters.

Senior infielder Cole Logemann (Lena, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending April 23, 2017. Logemann had a trio of multi-hit games for the Regents last week. He began by going 5-for-9 with a double, a triple, an RBI and scored three runs in the Regents' series against CUW. He then went 3-for-3 with a home run, an RBI and two runs scored in Rockford's upset win over Concordia Chicago. For the week Logemann hit .500 with a .529 on-base percentage and an .875 slugging percentage.

Freshman Nathan Alldritt (Winnebago, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending April 16, 2017. Alldritt had an outstanding weekend at the Benedictine Relays breaking a trio of RU school records.

Senior Cole Logemann (Lena, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending April 9, 2017.

Freshman Kayla Barthels (Fort Worth, Texas) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending April 2, 2017. In her first collegiate outdoor meet, Barthels placed second and set a personal best in the long jump with a distance of 5.00 meters. Her jump was just 0.02 meters off the RU record and is currently the third longest in the NACC this season.

The Rockford University baseball team received their second individual award of the season when David Camacho (Elk Grove, Ill.) was named NACC Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the week ending on March 26. This marks the second time he has won the award this season. He earned the recognition after he stymied an explosive #16 Augustana lineup to lead Rockford to the upset victory.

Senior pitcher David Camacho (Elk Grove, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending March 26, 2017. Camacho was brilliant on Sunday throwing a complete game shutout against #16 Augustana, his second of the season. He stymied the explosive Vikings lineup scattering just five hits. Camacho is now 3-1 on the season with a 2.48 ERA in a team-high 29 innings pitched.

Sophomore pitcher Brooke Burris (Galatia, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending March 19, 2017.

The Rockford University baseball program received its first individual award of the season late Monday when senior pitcher David Camacho (Elk Grove, Ill.) was named NACC Baseball Pitcher of the Week. This marks the first time in his career Camacho has been recognized by the NACC, and he is also the first RU spring student-athlete to earn a weekly award from the conference.

Rockford University senior forward Zach Wallace (Rockford, Ill.) added another award to his collection on Monday when he was named Second Team All-Central Region by D3hoops.com. Wallace was just one of three NACC players to be named all-region this season, and also becomes only the second Regent to ever be selected all-region by D3hoops.com, with Robert Malone being the other back in the 2010-11 season.

Senior pitcher David Camacho (Elk Grove, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending March 12, 2017. Camacho fired a complete game to propel the Regents to a 2-1 victory over Defiance. Camacho tossed all 9 innings allowing just 5 hits and no earned runs, while striking out 6 and walking none. Through his first two starts of the season, Camacho is 2-0 with a 1.20 ERA and 11 strikeouts compared to just 3 walks.

Junior pitcher Thomas Bolen (Tucson, Ariz.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending March 5, 2017. Bolen threw six strong innings on Friday against Saint Mary's to pick up his first win of the season. The junior allowed just two runs on four hits while striking out seven compared to only walking one.

The awards continue to pile up for Rockford University senior forward Zach Wallace (Rockford, Ill.) as earlier today he was named First Team Academic All-America by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Freshman Nathan Alldritt (Winnebago, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending February 26, 2017. Alldritt competed in two events on Saturday and had the top individual performance of any Regent at the NACC Indoor Championships. His highest finish came in the pole vault event where he placed fifth with a height of 3.95 meters. Alldritt then concluded his day as a member of the 4x400 meter relay team that finished in ninth place with a time of 3:44.63.

The Rockford University women's basketball team had a pair of Regents honored on Thursday when the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference released its 2016-17 all-conference selections. Senior Mallorie Getzelman (Byron, Ill.) earned Second Team All-NACC recognition for the first time in her collegiate career, while freshman Taylor May (East Moline, Ill.) was named the NACC Freshman of the Year and also earned NACC Honorable Mention status.

The Rockford University women's basketball team had a pair of Regents honored on Thursday when the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference released its 2016-17 all-conference selections. Senior Mallorie Getzelman (Byron, Ill.) earned Second Team All-NACC recognition for the first time in her collegiate career.

The Rockford University men's basketball program received good news Wednesday morning when two of its players were honored by the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference for their performances on the court this past season. Freshman Ben Weber (South Beloit, Ill.) also garnered recognition as he was voted to the NACC All-Freshman Team.

ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford University men's basketball program received good news Wednesday morning when two of its players were honored by the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference for their performances on the court this past season. Senior Zach Wallace (Rockford, Ill.) highlighted the group by earning two separate awards. Wallace was voted First Team All-NACC and was also selected NACC Defensive Player of the Year.
