Christian Dahlstrom Named NACC Honorable Mention
The Rockford University baseball team had four players recognized Monday afternoon when the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference released its 2021 postseason awards. Pitcher/designated hitter Jared Herzog headlined the group with his NACC South Division Freshman of the Year selection. Herzog becomes just the third RU baseball player to be named the NACC Freshman of the Year (Jimmy Dercks, 2009 and Cole Logemann, 2013). Rockford also had a trio of players receive NACC South Division Honorable Mention status. Pitchers Christian Pearcy and Christian Dahlstrom and catcher Christian Garcia were all selected NACC Honorable Mention for the first time in their respective careers. Rockford's four NACC postseason awards are the most for the Regents since 2015. Sophomore pitcher Christian Dahlstrom was named NACC South Division Honorable Mention for the first time in his career. Dahlstrom was primarily a relief pitcher this season, but also made a couple of spot starts, one of which was a complete game victory. He finished the year with a 6-3 record (2nd NACC) and had one save in his 18 appearances (3rd NACC). Dahlstrom also had 54 strikeouts (8th NACC) and a 3.79 earned run average (9th NACC) in 54.2 innings pitched (9th NACC).

Jared Herzog Named NACC South Division Freshman of the Year
The Rockford University baseball team had four players recognized Monday afternoon when the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference released its 2021 postseason awards. Pitcher/designated hitter Jared Herzog headlined the group with his NACC South Division Freshman of the Year selection. Herzog becomes just the third RU baseball player to be named the NACC Freshman of the Year (Jimmy Dercks, 2009 and Cole Logemann, 2013). Rockford also had a trio of players receive NACC South Division Honorable Mention status. Pitchers Christian Pearcy and Christian Dahlstrom and catcher Christian Garcia were all selected NACC Honorable Mention for the first time in their respective careers. Rockford's four NACC postseason awards are the most for the Regents since 2015. Freshman utility player Jared Herzog's performances both on the mound and at the plate earned him NACC South Division Freshman of the Year. By the end of the season, Herzog had worked his way into the top part of the Regents' pitching rotation. He concluded the year with a 2-1 record in six starts, a 3.65 earned run average and had 44 strikeouts (15th NACC) over 37.0 innings pitched. Offensively, he finished with a .301 batting average, a .415 on-base percentage and a .406 slugging percentage. Herzog also had 26 walks (2nd NACC), 10 doubles, 1 triple, 1 home run and 21 RBIs.

Christian Pearcy Named NACC Honorable Mention
The Rockford University baseball team had four players recognized Monday afternoon when the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference released its 2021 postseason awards. Pitcher/designated hitter Jared Herzog headlined the group with his NACC South Division Freshman of the Year selection. Herzog becomes just the third RU baseball player to be named the NACC Freshman of the Year (Jimmy Dercks, 2009 and Cole Logemann, 2013). Rockford also had a trio of players receive NACC South Division Honorable Mention status. Pitchers Christian Pearcy and Christian Dahlstrom and catcher Christian Garcia were all selected NACC Honorable Mention for the first time in their respective careers. Rockford's four NACC postseason awards are the most for the Regents since 2015. Senior starting pitcher Christian Pearcy was voted NACC South Division Honorable Mention for the first time in his career. Pearcy was the ace of the Regents' pitching staff throughout the year and ended his season at or near the top of the conference in multiple pitching categories. He made ten starts (2nd NACC), including tossing two complete games (6th NACC), and led the Regents with 61.0 innings pitched (4th NACC). He also had 66 strikeouts (2nd NACC) and a 3.84 earned run average (10th NACC).

Christian Garcia Named NACC Honorable Mention
The Rockford University baseball team had four players recognized Monday afternoon when the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference released its 2021 postseason awards. Pitcher/designated hitter Jared Herzog headlined the group with his NACC South Division Freshman of the Year selection. Herzog becomes just the third RU baseball player to be named the NACC Freshman of the Year (Jimmy Dercks, 2009 and Cole Logemann, 2013). Rockford also had a trio of players receive NACC South Division Honorable Mention status. Pitchers Christian Pearcy and Christian Dahlstrom and catcher Christian Garcia were all selected NACC Honorable Mention for the first time in their respective careers. Rockford's four NACC postseason awards are the most for the Regents since 2015. Senior catcher Christian Garcia was also selected NACC South Division Honorable Mention for the first time in his collegiate career. Garcia caught nearly every game and spent the entire year in the heart of the Regents' lineup. He finished his season with nine home runs (4th NACC), 40 runs batted in (12th NACC), six doubles, 21 runs scored, a .309 batting average, a .401 on-base percentage and a .547 slugging percentage. Garcia also provided one of the most memorable moments of the season, when he hit a walk-off grand slam in the tenth inning against Lakeland.

Christian Dahlstrom Selected to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week
Rockford University pitcher Christian Dahlstrom earned his first major award of the season on Tuesday when he was selected as a relief pitcher on the D3baseball.com Team of the Week. This is the third time in his career that Dahlstrom has been honored with a D3baseball.com Team of the Week selection, which is the most for any player in program history. He also becomes the second Regent to receive the award so far this season (Jared Herzog). Christian Dahlstrom went 2-0 last week in a pair of relief appearances to help Rockford secure the final spot in the NACC South Division Tournament. Dahlstrom entered both games with the score tied and runners on first and second with two outs. He retired the first batter he faced both times, and then proceeded to pitch the remainder of each game without allowing a run. In total, Dahlstrom pitched 7.2 shutout innings, allowing just 6 hits and striking out 6. The RU baseball team returns to the diamond on Friday, May 14 to face top-seeded Aurora University in the NACC South Division Tournament. First pitch is set for 4:30 p.m. in Montgomery, Illinois.

Emily Cox Named Regent of the Week
Senior Emily Cox has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending Sunday, May 9, 2021. Cox had a trio of multi-hit games, a .533 batting average, a .650 on-base percentage and a 1.000 slugging percentage this past week. Her top performance came in Rockford's first ever NACC Tournament win. Cox went 3-for-5 with 2 home runs, 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored in a thrilling 10-9 comeback victory over the eventual NACC South Division Tournament Champion, Benedictine University. She finished the week with 8 hits, 2 home runs, a double, 4 runs scored and 5 RBIs.

Jocelyn Callahan Named NACC Honorable Mention
The Rockford University softball program had a record five players recognized by the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference today when it released its 2021 postseason awards. Seniors Annaka Bartz and Gretchen Schrubbe were each voted First Team All-NACC for the first time in their careers. Bartz and Schrubbe become only the second and third players in program history to be selected First Team All-NACC and are the first since the 2009 season (Jessica Starr). Fellow seniors Emily Cox and Mikayla Seay and freshman Jocelyn Callahan all received NACC Honorable Mention status. This is the second time Cox has received a postseason award from the conference and the first for both Seay and Callahan. Rockford's five NACC postseason awards is by far the most in program history, with the previous high of three coming back in the 2008 season. Jocelyn Callahan of Belvidere was named NACC Honorable Mention as a freshman. Callahan started the season in the outfield, but has since transitioned to third base and helped solidify the left side of the infield. She has been one of the top freshman in the NACC this year and ranks in the top 20 in the conference in a pair of categories heading into postseason play. Callahan is fourth in the conference in stolen bases (16) and 13th in runs scored (23). She is also hitting .340 with a .441 on-base percentage and a .520 slugging percentage. Callahan has 34 hits, including 8 doubles, 2 triples, 2 home runs and has driven in 15 runs.

Emily Cox was named NACC Honorable Mention for the 2021 season. This is the second time Cox has been recognized by the conference, with the other coming back in 2019 when she was voted Second Team All-NACC. Cox has consistently been one of the top hitters for the Regents and in the NACC all season. Cox enters the conference tournament ranked in the top 20 in the NACC in six categories. She is currently fourth in doubles (14), seventh in on-base percentage (.492), eighth in slugging percentage (.694), 11th in runs batted in (28), 15th in home runs (4) and 19th in batting average (.405). Cox also has 3 triples and 25 runs scored.

This is the second time Cox has received a postseason award from the conference and the first for both Seay and Callahan. Rockford's five NACC postseason awards is by far the most in program history, with the previous high of three coming back in the 2008 season. Mikayla Seay of Rockton was named NACC Honorable Mention for the first time in her collegiate career. Seay has been a key part of Rockford's success this season as both a pitcher and a hitter. She enters the NACC Tournament ranked in the top 20 in three pitching categories and one hitting category. Seay is currently third in the NACC in complete games (14), seventh in wins (10) and eighth in innings pitched (104.2). She is also second in the NACC in doubles (15). Additionally, Seay has a .330 batting average, a .382 on-base percentage, a .523 slugging percentage, 2 home runs and 23 RBIs. Seay also had perhaps the biggest hit of the season, when she crushed a walk-off grand slam with two outs in the bottom of the seventh to defeat Dominican and clinch the No. 3 seed for Rockford in the 2021 NACC South Division Tournament.

Annaka Bartz Voted First Team All-NACC
The Rockford University softball program had a record five players recognized by the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference today when it released its 2021 postseason awards. Seniors Annaka Bartz of Rockton and Gretchen Schrubbe were each voted First Team All-NACC for the first time in their careers. Bartz and Schrubbe become only the second and third players in program history to be selected First Team All-NACC and are the first since the 2009 season (Jessica Starr). Fellow seniors Emily Cox and Mikayla Seay and freshman Jocelyn Callahan all received NACC Honorable Mention status. This is the second time Cox has received a postseason award from the conference and the first for both Seay and Callahan. Rockford's five NACC postseason awards is by far the most in program history, with the previous high of three coming back in the 2008 season. Annaka Bartz was voted First Team All-NACC for the first time in her career. Bartz has been one of the top shortstops both offensively and defensively in the conference over the past few seasons. Entering the conference tournament, Bartz ranks in the top 20 in the NACC in four offensive categories. She is currently eighth in the NACC in doubles (12) and runs scored (36) and 12th in both on-base percentage (.472) and slugging percentage (.648). Bartz also has a .390 batting average, 3 triples, 3 home runs and 19 RBIs. Defensively she is one of the main reasons the Regents were able to turn a school record 15 double plays so far this season.

Gretchen Schrubbe Voted First Team All-NACC
The Rockford University softball program had a record five players recognized by the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference today when it released its 2021 postseason awards. Seniors Annaka Bartz and Gretchen Schrubbe of Elgin were each voted First Team All-NACC for the first time in their careers. Bartz and Schrubbe become only the second and third players in program history to be selected First Team All-NACC and are the first since the 2009 season (Jessica Starr). Fellow seniors Emily Cox and Mikayla Seay and freshman Jocelyn Callahan all received NACC Honorable Mention status. This is the second time Cox has received a postseason award from the conference and the first for both Seay and Callahan. Rockford's five NACC postseason awards is by far the most in program history, with the previous high of three coming back in the 2008 season. Gretchen Schrubbe was selected First Team All-NACC for the first time in her collegiate career. This is the second award she has received from the NACC this season, after being named the NACC South Division Softball Position Player of the Week earlier in the year. Schrubbe has been a catalyst in the Rockford lineup and a rock defensively at second base throughout her career. Heading into the conference tournament, Schrubbe ranks in the top 20 in the NACC in six categories. She is currently fourth in the NACC in triples (4), eighth in doubles (12), 11th in runs batted in (28), 12th in batting average (.415), 13th in slugging percentage (.636) and 18th in stolen bases (9). Schrubbe also has a .444 on-base percentage and 2 home runs.

Joshua De Avila Named NACC Honorable Mention
The Rockford University men's soccer program had a trio of players recognized by the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference today when it released its 2020-21 postseason awards. Freshman goalkeeper Maverick Attwood, sophomore midfielder Joshua De Avila and junior midfielder Pedro Acosta were all named NACC Honorable Mention for the first time in their collegiate careers. This also marks the first time in program history that Rockford has had three players receive postseason recognition from the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference in a single year. Joshua De Avila was selected NACC Honorable Mention for the first time in his collegiate career. De Avila played in all eight matches, including seven starts. He finished with ten shots and led the Regents with seven shots on goal.

Pedro Acosta Named NACC Honorable Mention
The Rockford University men's soccer program had a trio of players recognized by the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference today when it released its 2020-21 postseason awards. Freshman goalkeeper Maverick Attwood, sophomore midfielder Joshua De Avila and junior midfielder Pedro Acosta were all named NACC Honorable Mention for the first time in their collegiate careers. This also marks the first time in program history that Rockford has had three players receive postseason recognition from the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference in a single year. Pedro Acosta was voted NACC Honorable Mention for the first time in his collegiate career. He played in all eight matches and made seven starts. Acosta led the Regents with 12 shots this season and finished second on the team with six shots on goal.

Maverick Attwood Named NACC Honorable Mention
The Rockford University men's soccer program had a trio of players recognized by the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference today when it released its 2020-21 postseason awards. Freshman goalkeeper Maverick Attwood, sophomore midfielder Joshua De Avila and junior midfielder Pedro Acosta were all named NACC Honorable Mention for the first time in their collegiate careers. This also marks the first time in program history that Rockford has had three players receive postseason recognition from the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference in a single year. Maverick Attwood was named NACC Honorable Mention in his first collegiate season. This is the second award Attwood received from the NACC this year, after being named the NACC South Division Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week earlier in the year. Attwood started all eight matches and played all 760 minutes in goal for the Regents. He finished second in the NACC with 52 saves and had one shutout. His top two performances of the season both came against Aurora University. Attwood had ten saves and allowed just one goal in the first meeting, and then had a season-high 11 saves, while surrendering only one goal in the second meeting.

Jared Herzog Named NACC South Division Pitcher of the Week
Freshman starting pitcher Jared Herzog collected another weekly award on Tuesday morning when it was announced that he had been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference South Division Baseball Pitcher of the Week. This is the second weekly award Herzog has received this season, after being named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week earlier in the year. Herzog also becomes the second Regent pitcher (Christian Pearcy) to be named the NACC South Division Pitcher of the Week this season. Jared Herzog was brilliant on the mound Sunday in his lone start of the week. Herzog was unhittable in the first half of the game, holding the Stars hitless through four innings. He went on to allow just four hits and one run, while striking out eight to pick up the win. The freshman went all seven innings to record the first complete game of his collegiate career. The RU baseball team will close out the regular season this weekend with four games against Concordia University Chicago. Rockford will travel to CUC on Saturday for a noon doubleheader. The Regents will then host the Cougars on Sunday at noon for two games at Rivets Stadium.

Mikayla Seay Named Regent of the Week
Senior Mikayla Seay has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending Sunday, May 2, 2021. Seay had multiple hits in all three games last week, to finish with a .700 batting average and a 1.300 slugging percentage. She also had perhaps the biggest hit of the year for Rockford in game one on Saturday. With two outs and the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh, Seay crushed a walk-off grand slam over the center field wall to win the game and secure the #3 seed in the NACC South Division Tournament. Seay finished the week with seven hits, three doubles, a home run, five runs batted in and two runs scored in ten at bats.

Mikayla Seay Named Regent of the Week
Pitcher Mikayla Seay has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending Sunday, April 25, 2021. Seay tossed a pair of complete games and posted a perfect 2-0 record with a 0.50 ERA over 14 innings last week. She allowed just one unearned run while striking out three and walking none in a 5-1 victory over Edgewood on Saturday. Seay then went the distance again on Sunday, allowing one run off just four hits and striking out five, to pick up her second win in as many days.

Kevin Diemer Selected Second Team All-Central Region
Rockford University's Kevin Diemer continues to rake in the awards this year after being named Second Team All-Central Region by D3hoops.com on Wednesday morning. This is yet another postseason award for Diemer, who was previously voted the NACC South Division Men's Basketball Player of the Year and First Team All-NACC last month. Diemer was the only Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference player to be selected all-region this year. He also becomes just the third RU men's basketball player to ever receive the award (Robert Malone and Zach Wallace) and is the first since the 2016-17 season. Kevin Diemer added another award to his collection after being selected Second Team All-Central Region by D3hoops.com. Diemer was dominant throughout the entire season, earning a school record four straight NACC Player of the Week honors and a D3hoops.com Team of the Week selection. He is now ranked in the top 30 nationally in five categories and is in the top five in the NACC in five others. Diemer is seventh in Division III in double-doubles (7), 16th in made field goals (107), 18th in total rebounds (137), 27th in total points (273) and 28th in defensive rebounds per game (7.5). Additionally, he finished the year first in the NACC in rebounds per game (9.8), third in points per game (19.5), fourth in offensive rebounds per game (2.3), fourth in field goal attempts per game (5.1) and fifth in field goal percentage (59.8%). Diemer also eclipsed a milestone this year when he became just the 17th RU men's basketball player to record 500 rebounds in a career. He will now head into next season with his sights set on another career accolade, as his is just 188 points away from becoming only the 15th men's basketball player in program history with 1,000 points and 500 rebounds in a career. This is the 20th year D3hoops.com has named an All-Region team, and all players chosen to the D3hoops.com All-Region teams are eligible for All-America selection.

Nicole Eggers Named NACC South Division Honorable Mention
The Rockford University women's volleyball team had a pair of players recognized Monday afternoon when the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference announced its 2020-21 All-NACC Teams. Della Crain and Nicole Eggers were both voted NACC South Division Honorable Mention for the first time in their respective careers. This marks the first time since 2014 that Rockford has had an individual receive postseason recognition from the NACC and is also the first time since 2011 that the Regents have had multiple players honored by the conference in the same season. Nicole Eggers was also selected NACC South Division Honorable Mention for the first time in her career. Eggers was one of Rockford's most versatile players and led the Regents in numerous statistical categories. She ended the season as Rockford's leader in total blocks (16), block assists (13) and hitting percentage (.216), while also finishing tied for the team-high in solo blocks (3) and service aces (12). Eggers also added 50 kills, 26 digs and 6 assists to her season totals. One of her best performances of the season came in Rockford's NACC South Division Tournament match against the eventual champion, Dominican University. Eggers finished with 7 kills and 0 attack errors on 16 total attempts, for a season-high .438 hitting percentage.

Della Crain Named NACC South Division Honorable Mention
The Rockford University women's volleyball team had a pair of players recognized Monday afternoon when the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference announced its 2020-21 All-NACC Teams. Della Crain and Nicole Eggers were both voted NACC South Division Honorable Mention for the first time in their respective careers. This marks the first time since 2014 that Rockford has had an individual receive postseason recognition from the NACC and is also the first time since 2011 that the Regents have had multiple players honored by the conference in the same season. Della Crain was selected NACC South Division Honorable Mention for the first time in her career. Crain finished the season as the top offensive threat for the Regents and was one of the better attackers in the conference. She led Rockford in total attacks (331), kills (108) and kills per set (2.70), while finishing seventh, eighth and tenth respectively in those categories in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference. Crain also had 34 digs, 9 aces and 7 total blocks this season. Her two best performances came against the top two teams in the NACC South Division. Crain tallied a season-high 13 kills against both Aurora and Dominican, while also recording hitting percentages of .379 and .313 respectively.

Gretchen Schrubbe Named Regent of the Week
Second baseman Gretchen Schrubbe has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending Sunday, April 18, 2021. Schrubbe recorded four multi-hits games this past week for the Regents. She went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in Rockford's final game against NACC leading Aurora University. She then opened the four-game series against Benedictine with a 2-for-4 performance that included a double, 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored. On Sunday, Schrubbe went 2-for-3 with a double in game one and 3-for-4 in game two at Benedictine. She finished the week with a .423 batting average and a .500 slugging percentage over eight games.

Breanna Collins Named the NACC South Division Softball Position Player of the Week
Rockford University's Breanna Collins collected her first award of the season on Wednesday morning when it was announced that she had been selected as the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference South Division Softball Position Player of the Week. This is the program's second NACC weekly award of the season (Gretchen Schrubbe) and is the first ever for Collins. Breanna Collins was nearly perfect at the plate this past week for the Regents. She opened with a perfect 3-for-3 performance, which included a double, a triple, a home run, two runs batted in and three runs scored in a 9-5 win over Concordia Chicago. Collins then went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored in a 5-1 victory against the Cougars. For the week, Collins hit .833 with a 2.000 slugging percentage and had four extra-base hits. The RU softball team returns to the diamond on Saturday, April 17 against Benedictine University. First pitch of the doubleheader is set for 4:00 PM at Mercyhealth Sportscore Two.

Jared Herzog Named Regent of the Week
Freshman pitcher and infielder Jared Herzog has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending Sunday, April 11, 2021. Herzog was brilliant in his first start of the season this past week. He went six innings and struck out a career-high 15 batters, including the final seven hitters he faced. His 15 strikeouts also tied the school record for strikeouts in a 7-inning game (Mark Bernhardy, 1978). Herzog allowed no runs, one hit and did not walk a batter, to earn his first collegiate win. At the plate, Herzog also hit .500 with a .571 on-base percentage and a 1.250 slugging percentage this past week. He was 1-for-1 with a walk, two runs driven in and two runs scored against Maranatha. He then went 1-for-3 with a home run, a run scored and an RBI at MSOE.

Jared Herzog Selected to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week
Rockford University freshman pitcher Jared Herzog earned his first major award of the season earlier this week when he was named as a starting pitcher on the D3baseball.com Team of the Week. Herzog becomes the ninth RU baseball player to ever receive the honor and just the fifth starting pitcher to be named to the D3baseball.com Team of the week. He is also the first Regent this season to earn the award. Jared Herzog was brilliant in his first start of the season this past week. Maverick Attwood Named NACC Men's Soccer South Division Defensive Player of the Week
The Rockford University men's soccer program had a pair of players honored by the Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference when it released its weekly awards on Thursday morning. Maverick Attwood was selected as the NACC Men's Soccer South Division Defensive Player of the Week and Baruani Kamangila was chosen as the NACC Men's Soccer South Division Offensive Player of the Week. This is the first NACC weekly award for both Attwood and Kamangila and is Rockford's first NACC Men's Soccer Player of the Week award since 2018 (Anthony Beck). Maverick Attwood tallied four saves over 110 minutes in last week's double overtime tie against Benedictine. Attwood made multiple outstanding saves during the match to limit the Eagles to just one goal. Over the previous two weeks, Attwood has now allowed just one goal in 220 minutes, has a goals against average of 0.41 and a .889 save percentage. The RU men's soccer team travels to Benedictine University on Sunday, April 11. The match has a scheduled start time of 1:00 PM.

Baruani Kamangila Named NACC Men's Soccer South Division Offensive Player of the Week
The Rockford University men's soccer program had a pair of players honored by the Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference when it released its weekly awards on Thursday morning. Kieran Trevier Named to the D3football.com Team of the Week
For the first time in program history, the Rockford University football team had a pair of players named to the D3football.com Team of the Week. Defensive tackle Takhari Bowens and punter Kieran Trevier each earned a spot on the D3football.com Team of the Week for the first time in their careers. Bowens becomes just the second RU defensive player (Dylan Peterson) and Trevier becomes the first ever RU special teams player to receive the honor. This also marks the first time since 2018 that a Regent has earned a weekly award from D3football.com (Peterson). Punter Kieran Trevier averaged 39.9 yards on his seven punts this past Saturday. He did an excellent job flipping field position throughout the game, with three punts downed inside the 20-yard line and booming punts of 61 yards and 57 yards. In addition to dropping a trio of punts inside the twenty, he placed another on the 20 and one more at the 22. The RU football team returns to the field on Saturday, April 10 at Eureka College. Kickoff is set for 3:00 PM.

He tallied 5 solo tackles including 3 sacks totaling 28 yards. He also forced a fumble as a part of a Rockford defense that created 6 turnovers in a 20-14 win over Concordia Wisconsin.

Gretchen Schrubbe Voted NACC South Division Softball Position Player of the Week
Rockford University's Gretchen Schrubbe has been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference South Division Softball Position Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday morning. This marks the first weekly award this season for the softball program and its first since the 2019 season (Rylee Klema). It is also the first time Rockford has had a NACC Position Player of the Week since 2013 (Nicole Lawler). Gretchen Schrubbe had four multi-hit games and helped lead the Regents to a perfect 6-0 record last week. Her top two performances came against Lakeland and Eureka. Schrubbe went 4-for-5 with two doubles, four runs scored and an RBI in an 11-10 win over the Muskies. She also went 3-for-4 with a double and four runs batted in during a 16-2 victory against Eureka. For the week, Schrubbe had a .706 batting average, a .722 on-base percentage and a 1.235 slugging percentage. She tallied 12 hits, including five doubles and two triples, scored eight runs, drove in 11 runs and stole three bases. The Regents will put their nine-game winning streak on the line Wednesday afternoon when they hit the road to face the MSOE Raiders. First pitch of the doubleheader is set for 3 PM in Milwaukee.
