They have led groundbreaking research in the field of cardiology, coached a Division 1 program to the NCAA Tournament, tested the first artificial heart valve in humans, traveled with the national tour of Cats and Wicked, and won the Nobel Peace Prize.

For more than 166 years, Rockford graduates have made their mark around the world. Far more than preparing students to do something, we empower our graduates to accomplish anything.

Regent of the Week

Junior Chrissy Hermann (Tinley Park, Ill./Tinley Park) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending September 21st, 2014. Hermann scored the game-winning goal in Rockford's 2-0 win over Faith Baptist Bible College last Friday. She currently leads the Regents with 2 goals this season.

Regent of the Week

Senior Kaleb Rich (Washington, Iowa/Washington) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending September 14th, 2014. Rich won the Marian University Fall Invite by 7 strokes with a two-day total of +1. The senior fired the two lowest rounds of the Invite with a 70 on Sunday and a 75 on Monday to become the first Regent to win a golf tournament since fall of 2008.

Regent of the Week

Senior Andrew Stochl (Fox Lake, Ill./Marian Central Catholic) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending September 7th, 2014. Stochl led Rockford to a win in its season opener and home opener for the first time since the 2006 season. The senior completed 17-of-27 passes for 291 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Regent of the Week

Senior Katelyn Hasken (Lanark, Ill./Eastland) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending August 31, 2014. Katelyn Hasken had a great start to her season over the weekend at the Beloit Buc Blast Tournament. Hasken had a pair of 20-kill matches to average just over 13 kills per match and 3.31 kills per set. Defensively the senior recorded 56 digs and 9 total blocks. For her efforts she was named to the all-tournament team.

Seventy-Nine Regents Named NACC Scholar-Athletes

The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference has recognized 1,104 full-time student-athletes as scholar-athletes for the 2013-14 academic year. Rockford had an excellent academic year as its 79 scholar-athletes is by far the most honorees the Regents have had in conference's eight-year history.

Kyle Pisano Named Third Team All-Midwest Region

The Rockford University baseball team continued to pile up postseason awards as the Regents had a pair of players named to the D3Baseball.com All-Midwest Region Teams on Monday. Senior second baseman Chris Senn (Victorville, Calif./Silverado) was selected Second Team All-Region while senior pitcher Kyle Pisano (Peru, Ill./LaSalle-Peru) earned Third Team All-Region honors. This marks the second consecutive year that Rockford has had multiple players earn all-region honors.

NACC Position Player of the Week

The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference announced its final weekly awards of the season on Monday, and Rockford third baseman Cole Logemann (Lena, Ill./Lena-Winslow) was voted NACC Position Player of the Week. It is the first time in his career that Logemann has earned a weekly award from the NACC, and he becomes the third different Regent baseball player to be named NACC Student-Athlete of the Week this season.

The Rockford University baseball team had a trio of seniors honored on Thursday when the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference released its all-conference teams. Second baseman Chris Senn (Victorville, Calif./Silverado) was named First Team All-NACC while pitchers Kyle Pisano (Peru, Ill./LaSalle-Peru) and Kaleb Rich (Washington, Iowa/Washington) each earned Second Team All-NACC honors.

Regent of the Week

Sophomore third baseman Cole Logemann (Lena, Ill./Lena-Winslow) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending May 11, 2014. Last week, Logemann broke one NACC Tournament record and tied another. His 5 hits against CUC tied the record for hits in a game and his 3 doubles against CUC broke the record for doubles in a game. In Rockford's two games Logemann had an .800 batting average, a 1.100 slugging percentage, 3 doubles, 2 runs batted in, 2 runs scored, and stole a base.

Senior pitcher Kaleb Rich (Washington, Iowa/Washington) earned the first weekly awards of his collegiate career early this week when he was recognized by both the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference and D3Basball.com for his gem on the mound last Saturday.

Ubiparipovic Earns All-NACC Recognition

The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference announced its All-Conference teams on Friday and for the second time in three years, Rockford University had a student-athlete on the All-NACC Singles Players Team. Senior Mladen Ubiparipovic (Loves Park, Ill./Harlem) was selected All-NACC for the second time in his college career.

Jessica Bjerning Named Second Team All-NACC

ROCKFORD, Ill. - Senior shortstop Jessica Bjerning (Wauconda, Ill./Mundelein) was recognized by the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference on Tuesday morning when it released its postseason awards for the 2014 season. Bjerning received Second Team All-NACC honors as voted upon by the twelve conference coaches. She becomes the first Regent softball player to be selected Second Team All-NACC since the 2012 season.

Regent of the Week

Senior Ryan Woodard (St. Charles, Ill./Burlington Central) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending April 20, 2014. Woodard went 3-1 in his four tennis matches on Saturday. He won both of his singles matches in straight sets (6-4, 6-4 and 6-4, 6-3) and won in doubles action against Edgewood.

Regent of the Week

Junior outfielder Connor McHugh (Hoffman Estates, Ill./Schaumburg) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending April 13, 2014. McHugh exploded at the plate for Rockford to help lead the Regents to a 3-1 week in NACC play. The junior had an impressive .600 batting average, .714 on-base percentage and a .900 slugging percentage. McHugh also provided the offense with some power and much needed clutch hitting with 3 doubles, 5 runs batted in and scored a run.

Chris Senn Earns NACC Baseball Position Player of the Week Award

Senior second baseman Chris Senn (Victorville, Ill./Silverado) slugged his way to Rockford's first award of the spring season on Monday night. The senior was selected as the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Baseball Position Player of the Week. It is the second time in his career that Senn has received NACC Player of the Week honors.

Regent of the Week

Senior Genesis Cerrato (Las Vegas, Nev./Valley) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending March 2nd, 2014. Cerrato was the top performer on Saturday for the Regents at the NACC Indoor Track & Field Championships. The senior had an outstanding day recording 15 points, which is the most ever by an RU female athlete at the event.

The Rockford University men's basketball team had a pair of seniors recognized by the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference on Tuesday for their play on the court this season. Lindsay Lengjak Named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Honorable Mention

Rockford University senior Lindsay Lengjak (Roscoe, Ill./Hononegah) was selected Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Honorable Mention Monday morning by the twelve NACC coaches. This is the first postseason NACC award that Lengjak has received since transferring to Rockford prior to the 2012-13 season.

Sophomore forward Diamond Williams (Carpentersville, Ill./Dundee Crown) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending February 23rd, 2014. Williams had her best game as a Regent in her team's final game of the season last Tuesday. She scored a season-high 12 points on an impressive 6-of-8 shooting off the bench. The sophomore also grabbed 6 rebounds.
