They have led groundbreaking research in the field of cardiology, coached a Division 1 program to the NCAA Tournament, tested the first artificial heart valve in humans, traveled with the national tour of Cats and Wicked, and won the Nobel Peace Prize.

Tim Lydy Named Regent of the Week

Senior Tim Lydy (Aurora, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending May 3, 2015. Lydy recorded a pair of top ten finishes including Rockford's best performance at the NACC Championships. He placed 4th in the 10,000 meter run with a personal best time of 33:35.40 and was less than 7 seconds away from medaling in the event. Lydy also took 10th in the 5,000 meter race crossing the finish line in 4:41.23.

Cole Logemann Named NACC Position Player of the Week

Junior third baseman Cole Logemann (Lena, Ill.) was named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Position Player of the Week for the second time this season on Monday. Logemann joins teammate Michael Murray as the only two Regents to earn multiple NACC Player of the Week honors this year. This also marks the third time in his collegiate career that he has received a weekly award from the conference.

Brian Wiest Named Regent of the Week

Senior first baseman Brian Wiest (Lake Zurich, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending April 19, 2015. Last week Wiest recorded an impressive .522 batting average with a .783 slugging percentage. The senior had 3 multi-hit games including a 5-hit performance against Lakeland. In that game, Wiest also broke the RU single game school record with 4 doubles. For the week he tallied 12 hits, 6 doubles, 3 runs scored and 2 runs batted in.

Michael Murray Named Regent of the Week

Junior pitcher Michael Murray (Princeton, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending April 12, 2015. Murray stayed perfect on the mound this season for the Regents as he went 2-0 in his 2 starts last week. The right-hander surrendered just 2 earned runs over his 15.1 innings of work for a 1.17 earned run average. He also struck out 10 hitters while walking just 2.

Michael Murray Earns his Second NACC Weekly Award of the Season

Junior pitcher Michael Murray (Princeton, Ill.) was voted the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday for the second time this season. Murray becomes only the second baseball player in the conference to earn multiple NACC weekly awards this season as well as the first Regent to earn multiple NACC weekly awards in any sport this year.

Lisa Blakeley-Snyder Named Regent of the Week

Sophomore shortstop Lisa Blakeley-Snyder (Winnebago, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending April 5, 2015. Blakeley-Snyder hit .333 for the week with a pair of runs batted in and a run scored. The sophomore's most impressive performance came on Saturday against MSOE when she tallied her first 3-hit game of the season. She went for 3-for-4 and tied the Rockford University school record with 3 doubles in the game.

Robert Smith Named Regent of the Week

Junior outfielder Robert Smith (Bartlett, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending March 22, 2015. Smith led Rockford last week with a .400 batting average, a .500 on-base percentage and a .700 slugging percentage. The junior had 3 doubles, scored 4 runs, drove in 2 runs and drew 2 walks.

Michael Murray Named NACC Pitcher of the Week

The Rockford University baseball team had its second player in as many weeks recognized by the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference when Michael Murray (Princeton, Ill.) was selected NACC Pitcher of the Week. It is Murray's first weekly award from the conference in his two years as a Regent. Through the first three weeks of the season, Rockford is the only NACC school to have multiple baseball players earn a weekly award.

Michael Murray Named Regent of the Week

Junior pitcher Michael Murray (Princeton, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending March 15, 2015. Murray tossed a complete game last Thursday to earn his second win of the season for Rockford. The junior gave up just one unearned run in his nine innings of work while striking out 12 batters and allowing just one walk. The right-hander dominated the Millikin hitters holding them to just .182 batting average against him for the game.

Cole Logemann Named NACC Position Player of the Week

Junior third baseman Cole Logemann (Lena, Ill.) has been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Position Player of the Week. It is the second NACC weekly award of his career and he becomes the first Rockford University baseball player to win the award this season. Logemann's first NACC Position Player of the Week honor came in the final week of last season, and he now has won the award in his first possible opportunity this season.

Junior third baseman Cole Logemann (Lena, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending March 8, 2015. Logemann powered the Regents to a perfect 2-0 start to the season with a pair of multi-hit performances. The junior blasted 3 home runs, drove in 7 runs and scored 4 more runs. For the week Logemann recorded a .400 batting average, .455 on-base percentage and a 1.300 slugging percentage.

Katie Clark Selected NACC Honorable Mention

Rockford University senior center Katie Clark (Rock City, Ill.) was the lone Regent honored by the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference on Thursday morning when the conference released its postseason awards. Clark was voted NACC Honorable Mention by the leagues 12 coaches earning her first NACC postseason award as a Regent.

Barbara Duffy Named Regent of the Week

Senior Barbara Duffy (Prophetstown, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending March 1, 2015. The senior recorded the highest finish of any Regent on Saturday at the NACC Indoor Championships. Duffy became the first ever female indoor track and field athlete to medal in the 400 meter dash when she placed 3rd with a time of 1:01.48. She also took home a 9th place finish in the 200 meter dash crossing the finish line in 27.58 seconds.

Michael Murray Named Regent of the Week

Junior Michael Murray (Princeton, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending February 22, 2015. Murray tallied his first 30-point effort and third double-double this season in just his ninth game of the year. The junior poured in a season-high 31 points on an impressive 11-of-16 shooting performance and went 7-of-8 from the free throw line. He also tied his season-high with 13 rebounds while adding 4 steals and 2 assists to round out his evening.

Michael Murray Named Regent of the Week

Junior Michael Murray (Princeton, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending February 15, 2015. Murray played the entire game for Rockford on Saturday recording a season-high 27 points on 9-of-16 shooting including knocking down 3-of-6 from beyond the arc. The junior also grabbed 9 rebounds, had 3 assists and 2 steals in Rockford's lone game last week.

Katie Clark Named Regent of the Week

Senior center Katie Clark (Rock City, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending February 8, 2015. Clark was nearly unstoppable for Rockford last week averaging 23.5 points on 20-of-25 shooting from the field while grabbing 9.5 rebounds per game. The senior began her week by tallying 19 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists in Rockford's win on Tuesday. She then poured in a season-high 28 points and 11 rebounds on Saturday for her fourth double-double of the season.

Zach Wallace Voted NACC Student-Athlete of the Week

Sophomore forward Zach Wallace (Rockford, Ill.) was recognized by the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference for the first time in his collegiate career Monday night when he was named NACC Student-Athlete of the Week.

Barbara Duffy Named Regent of the Week

Senior Barbara Duffy (Prophetstown, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending February 2, 2015. Duffy broke three of her own school records on Saturday at the UW-Platteville Pioneer Open. The senior placed 5th in the 400 meter with a time of 1:02.10, 11th in the 200 meter with a time of 27.88 and 25th in the 60 meter hurdles crossing the finish in 11.36. She also had a season-best distance in the long jump of 4.11 meters.

Trae Blumhorst Named NACC Student-Athlete of the Week

Late Monday night, Rockford University sophomore guard Trae Blumhorst (Mendota, Ill.) was selected Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for his stellar performance on the court. Blumhorst becomes the third different Regent men's basketball player to win the award this year, which is the highest number of NACC weekly award winners for the RU men's basketball program since it joined the conference beginning in the 2006-07 season.

Trae Blumhorst Named Regent of the Week

Sophomore guard Trae Blumhorst (Mendota, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending January 25, 2015. Blumhorst continued to have the hot hand for Rockford shooting 48.1% from the field and nearly averaging a double-double with 18.5 points per game and 9.5 rebounds per game. He tallied 11 points and 13 rebounds against Concordia Chicago for his first double-double of the season. Blumhorst then poured in a season-high 26 points along with 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals.
