Senior Liberty Hartman (Freeport, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending September 25, 2016. Hartman recorded a pair of double-doubles on back-to-back nights last week for the Regents. She opened with 21 kills, 11 digs and 4 totals blocks against Concordia Chicago and followed that up with 19 kills, 11 digs, 2 aces and 1 block against Knox. For the week she averaged an impressive 5.00 kills per set with a .305 hitting percentage.

Sophomore Anders-James Wermuth (Spring Green, Wis.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending September 18, 2016. Wermuth helped lead the RU men's soccer team to the Regents first win in their NACC opener since the 2008 season. He tallied three shots, all of them on goal, including scoring the game-winning goal on a penalty kick in the 82nd minute to complete the 2-1 comeback victory.

Senior quarterback Andrew Perez (West Covina, Calif.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending September 11, 2016.

Sophomore Anders-James Wermuth (Spring Green, Wis.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending September 4, 2016.

Fourteen Regents were honored by the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference for their conduct and sportsmanship during competition in the 2015-16 season. Each member of the team was selected by his or her respective coach for embracing the NCAA and NACC principles of sportsmanship and fair play.

The Rockford University baseball team had a pair of players recognized by the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference on Thursday morning when it released its 2016 all-conference teams. Freshman pitcher Joseph Valdez (Tucson, Ariz.) capped off an impressive season by being named to the NACC All-Freshman Team. This marks the first time Valdez has earned postseason recognition from the NACC.

The Rockford University baseball team had a pair of players recognized by the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference on Thursday morning when it released its 2016 all-conference teams. Senior outfielder Evan Frantini (Coal City, Ill.) raked in the highest honor as he was selected First Team All-NACC.

Freshman Jared Johnson (Miami, Fla.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending May 8, 2016. Johnson had an excellent showing for Rockford this past weekend at the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Outdoor Championships.

Senior infielder Brittany Bura (Chicago, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending May 1, 2016. Bura concluded her collegiate softball career with her best week at the plate this season. She tallied a trio of multi-hit games including a pair of three-hit performances. For the week Bura recorded a .500 batting average, a .524 on-base percentage and a .650 slugging percentage with 3 doubles and 12 runs batted in.

Senior Ryan Scarpetta (Rockton, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending April 24, 2016. Scarpetta had four multi-hit games last week including a trio of three-hit performances.

Freshman Joseph Valdez (Tucson, Ariz.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending April 17, 2016.

Sophomore Jamie Buechner (Island Lake, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending April 10, 2016. Buechner turned in a pair of impressive performances against a very tough field of runners. She finished 11th out of 29 participants in the 200 meter and set the school record with a time of 27.26 seconds. Buechner also ran in the 100 meter placing 15th out of 26 runners and crossed the finish line in 13.04 seconds.

Senior outfielder Evan Frantini (Coal City, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending April 3, 2016. In Rockford's lone game of the week, Frantini helped lead the Regents to an important road victory over Elmhurst. He went 2-for-4 at the plate with a pair of doubles, a walk and drove in a run. For the week the senior hit .500 with a .600 on-base percentage and a 1.000 slugging percentage.

Junior infielder Austin Smith (Peru, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending March 27, 2016. At the plate Smith hit .500 with a .750 slugging percentage, had one double, a run batted in and a run scored. Defensively he had a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with 3 assists, 3 putouts and helped turn a double play.

Rockford University pitcher Nathan Mulzer (Neenah, Wis.) was voted Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Pitcher of the Week on Monday evening. This is Mulzer's first career award from the NACC and he becomes the first Regent baseball player to be named player of the week this season.

Junior infielder Lisa Blakeley-Snyder (Winnebago, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending March 6, 2016. Blakeley-Snyder led the Rockford offense with a pair of multi-hit games. She began her season with a 2-for-3 performance including a double, a walk and a run scored against Swarthmore. She then went 3-for-4 with an RBI, a run scored and a walk vs. Elms. For the week Blakeley-Snyder hit .714 with a .778 on-base percentage and a .857 slugging percentage.

Fellow senior John O'Bryan (Richmond, Ky.) and junior Zach Wallace (Rockford, Ill.) were each named NACC Honorable Mention and freshman Tony Diemer (Rockford, Ill.) was voted to the NACC All-Freshman Team. Rockford's four postseason awards are the most the Regents have received since joining the NACC for the 2006-07 season.

Freshman Christian Devant (Winnebago, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending February 28, 2016. Devant recorded a trio of top-15 finishes for Rockford on Saturday at the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Junior forward Zach Wallace (Rockford, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending February 21, 2016. Wallace averaged a double-double for Rockford last week with 18 points and 12.5 rebounds per game.

Senior guard John O'Bryan (Richmond, Ky.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending February 14, 2016. O'Bryan exploded last week for Rockford averaging 26.5 points on 54.1% shooting including 56.3% from three-point range, while also adding 3.5 rebounds, 4 assists and 1.5 steals.

Senior guard John O'Bryan (Richmond, Ky.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending February 7, 2016. O'Bryan scored his 1,000th career point last week as he helped lead the Regents to a pair of NACC wins. The senior poured in 34 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals in a win over Dominican. He then added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists in Rockford's victory at Edgewood. For the week the senior averaged 24 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1 steal.

Junior guard Mallorie Getzelman (Bryon, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending January 31, 2016. Getzelman had another stellar week for the Regents shooting 46.2% from the floor while averaging 23 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. She also recorded her first career double-double last Wednesday against Concordia University Chicago when she poured in 27 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

Wallace had a monster week for Rockford recording a pair of double-doubles. He opened with 18 points, 12 rebounds, 5 blocks, 2 steals and 1 assist in a win over Concordia Chicago. Wallace then carried Rockford with 26 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks at Concordia Wisconsin. For the week he averaged 22 points on 64% shooting, 11.5 rebounds, 3.5 blocks, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steal.

Freshman Jamie Buechner (Island Lake, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending January 17, 2016. Buechner competed in both the 200 meter and 60 meter dashes on Saturday at the UW-Platteville Open. She broke the Rockford University school record in the preliminary round of the 60 meter dash with a time of 8.71 seconds before placing fifth in the finals with a time of 8.85 seconds. Buechner also finished eighth in the 200 meter crossing the finish line in 30.07.

Junior forward Zach Wallace (Rockford, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending January 10, 2016. Wallace helped lead Rockford to a perfect 2-0 record this past week.

Senior guard Michael Murray (Princeton, Ill.) was once again recognized for the spectacular season he is having as Murray earned two more individual honors one of which came at the national level. Monday evening Murray was selected as the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for the second time this season. Then early Tuesday morning he was voted to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week.
