Rockford, IL (09/03/2019) — Troubled Waters in International Trade: Impact on Northern Illinois Economy discussion will be presented on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at 5:30 PM in the Nordlof Center located at 118 N. Main Street, Rockford. The Institute of World Affairs and Trade at Rockford University is pleased to host a moderated discussion on trade disputes and how it is expected to impact various local businesses.

Highlighted will be the United Kingdom's exit from European Union (Brexit), and trade disputes between US-china and Korea-Japan and how it could significantly impact most local businesses, manufacturing or service, agriculture, and investors - whether exporters, importers or neither.

This non-political conversation, moderated by former Congressman Don Manzullo, will feature Mark Tokola, former US Senior Foreign Service Officer, Minister Counselor of Political Affairs to the US Embassy in the UK and current VP Korea Economic Institute of America; and Roxana Idu, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Economics, Puri School of Business at Rockford University.
