Tony Diemer Selected to the NACC All-Freshman Team

The Rockford University men's basketball team had four players earn all-conference honors from the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference on Friday morning. Senior guard Michael Murray (Princeton, Ill.) highlights the group with his First Team All-NACC selection. Fellow senior John O'Bryan (Richmond, Ky.) and junior Zach Wallace (Rockford, Ill.) were each named NACC Honorable Mention and freshman Tony Diemer (Rockford, Ill.) was voted to the NACC All-Freshman Team. Rockford's four postseason awards are the most the Regents have received since joining the NACC for the 2006-07 season.

Tony Diemer joined Tory Minnifield as one of only two RU men's basketball players to ever be selected to the NACC All-Freshman Team. Diemer burst onto the scene this year contributing in all phases of the game. The Rockford native was third on the team in rebounding (6.2), fourth in scoring (11.2), fourth in field goal percentage (47.0%) and averaged 1.5 assists per game.
