Maya Hopkins invited to perform at Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Maya Hopkins of Rockford, IL has been invited to perform at the prestigious Edinburgh Festival Fringe August 5-29 in Edinburgh, Scotland. The annual festival featured 3,314 performances from 49 countries, including examples of cabaret, comedy, dance, physical theater and circus, music, musicals and opera, spoken word, theater and more in 2015.

Twenty students from the Rockford University performing arts department will travel to the festival with three faculty members to showcase their talents. Rockford University is one of only four U.S. colleges to receive an invitation to perform this year. The other institutions invited to attend are Texas A&M University, Hope College in Holland, Michigan, and the University of Alabama.
