Cole Logemann Selected NACC Position Player of the Week

2014 May 13

The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference announced its final weekly awards of the season on Monday, and Rockford third baseman Cole Logemann (Lena, Ill./Lena-Winslow) was voted NACC Position Player of the Week. It is the first time in his career that Logemann has earned a weekly award from the NACC, and he becomes the third different Regent baseball player to be named NACC Student-Athlete of the Week this season.

Logemann put on quite the hitting performance this past week at the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament. He opened the tournament with a 5-for-5 performance against the regular season and tournament champion Concordia University Chicago. The sophomore broke the NACC Tournament record with three doubles against the Cougars and tied the single game hits record with five. Logemann then picked up right where he left off going 3-for-5 the very next day against second-seeded Benedictine University. The Lena native opened the NACC Tournament with eight-consecutive hits and finished with an .800 batting average and a 1.100 slugging percentage. For the week Logemann recorded 8 hits, 3 doubles, 2 runs batted in, 2 runs scored and stole a base.
