Chris Senn, Kyle Pisano and Kaleb Rich Named Al-NACC

2014 May 12

The Rockford University baseball team had a trio of seniors honored on Thursday when the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference released its all-conference teams. Second baseman Chris Senn (Victorville, Calif./Silverado) was named First Team All-NACC while pitchers Kyle Pisano (Peru, Ill./LaSalle-Peru) and Kaleb Rich (Washington, Iowa/Washington) each earned Second Team All-NACC honors. Rockford's three All-NACC selections are the most the Regents have received since the 2010 season when Rockford had five All-NACC performers.

Senn highlighted the trio of Regents with his First Team All-NACC selection. The Victorville native anchored down the middle of the Rockford lineup playing in all but one game. Senn led the Regents in nearly every major offensive statistical category including at bats (140), hits (48), runs (16), doubles (11), RBI (28), batting average (.343) and slugging percentage (.479). This is not the first time Senn has been recognized by the NACC for his play on the field as he was also named NACC Position Player of the Week twice in his career, including once earlier this season.

Pisano concluded an excellent senior season when he was named Second Team All-NACC. Pisano helped lead a Rockford pitching staff that finished the regular season as the top-ranked group in the NACC with a 2.83 earned run average. Individually, Pisano ranked in the top seven in the conference in every major statistical category. The senior finished tied for first in wins (6), second in ERA (1.52), tied for fourth in strikeouts (43) and tied for seventh in innings pitched (59.1).

Rich earned his third award in as many days when he was also selected Second Team All-NACC. The senior finished his collegiate career strong turning in his best year in a Rockford uniform. Rich ranks tied for first in the NACC in wins (6), seventh in ERA (2.04) and tied for eleventh in strikeouts (35) and innings pitched (57.1). The Washington native is also no stranger to receiving national recognition as earlier in the week he was named to the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week and NACC Pitcher of the Week after his final regular season start secured a postseason berth for Rockford.
