Rockford University's fall 2019 Forum Series concludes with a production of the musical exhibition 35mm.

Rockford, IL (11/15/2019) — Rockford University's fall 2019 Forum Series concludes with a production of the musical exhibition 35mm. The musical runs Thurs.- Sat., November 21-23 at 7:30 p.m. and Sun., November 24 at 2 p.m. in Rockford University's Maddox Theatre, Clark Arts Center. This groundbreaking new concept in musical theatre is directed by Associate Professor of Music, Timm Adams, and bridges the connection between the visual and auditory experience, creating a multi-sensory emotional journey.

This stunning new multimedia musical immerses the audience in a collection of 'snapshot images' by photographer Matthew Murphy that are woven together as each of the evening's original songs written by Ryan Scott Oliver is performed. In 35mm, each photo creates a unique song, moments frozen in time, a glimmer of a life unfolding, a glimpse of something happening as it re-imagines what the modern American musical can be.

Maddox Theatre is located in the Clark Arts Center, 5050 East State Street, Rockford. Clark Arts is accessible.
